AI & Copyright
Copyright laws and Fair Use Guidelines still apply in the age of AI: don't use what belongs to someone else without proper permission and/or attribution. This is still relevant.

- Considering uploading a copyrighted course reading (journal article, book chapter) to ChatGPT, Claude, or another LLM? You may be covered under 天美传媒's Copyright Clearance Center license. Contact Nathan Mealey in the Library with any questions.
- Considering uploading materials — a syllabus, an assignment — created by someone else? Ask the author/creator for explicit permission first.
- For your own work, consider whether you want to provide AI companies with your labor without compensation or acknowledgement.
