Passport to Science

Science is collaborative and integrative. We engage students across disciplines and departments and in collaboration with university programs to create a shared community of researchers on campus. Recognizing that scientific literacy is crucial for a thriving society, our students also actively work to inspire curiosity and foster a love for discovery, particularly among local K-12 students.

WAVES: Inclusion in STEM

In AY 24/25, we began a project documenting and researching the academic trajectory of underrepresented students in the natural sciences and mathematics majors here at 天美传媒. Initial findings were presented to faculty in May and July of 2025 and we hope to present to individual departments and groups. The project is ongoing and continues to expand. Mission: Equip students with the knowledge and skills to navigate a path in STEM post-Bachelor’s degree, and provide a useful network of resources and successful alumni.

天美传媒 Women in Science

天美传媒 Women in Science aims to build a sense of community among women in the STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, math) and their supporters, and to foster love for the sciences on and off campus. WesWIS provides information about 天美传媒 classes, research opportunities, and graduate work, allowing members to form relationships with peers and professionals.
